CHRIS MOON MBE
Chris Moon MBE has one of the most extraordinary stories of resilience and determination you will ever hear.
A former British Army officer and humanitarian mine-clearance specialist, Chris survived being kidnapped by Khmer Rouge guerrillas in Cambodia and later a devastating landmine explosion in Mozambique, resulting in the loss of his right arm and lower leg.
Less than a year later, he completed the London Marathon and went on to become the world’s first amputee ultra-distance runner, taking on some of the world’s toughest endurance challenges.
With warmth, humour and remarkable insight, Chris will share his experiences of overcoming adversity, embracing change and achieving far more than we believe possible.
